Breeding of waders occurred at the usual time. Spring floods occurred because of thick snow cover. Therefore waders bred patchily, but at high density. June was cool and July hot.

Breeding conditions:

Arctic Foxes were not numerous. Snowy Owl did not breed. Long-tailed Skua, Arctic Skua and Short-eared Owl bred. Generally the breeding season was very successful for all waders.
 

Rodent dynamics:

The abundance of Siberian Lemming increased twice but did not reach the maximal levels.
